Kishwaukee Family YMCA Local Impact in 2010
- More than 2,200 financial assistance scholarships were awarded in 2010 for memberships, sports, swim team, swim lessons, afterschool, summer day camp and wellness programs.
- Approximately 1 out of 10 YMCA memberships (about 11%) are receiving scholarship assistance from the Strong Kids Campaign.
- 70% of scholarships awarded are to children and families
- Approximately 30% of children attending summer day camp receive scholarship support, without which, many would be left without summer daycare.
- Total value of scholarships awarded in 2010 exceeded $360,000!
YMCA National Impact
