DeKalb Barb City YMCA NOW OPEN!
Our YMCA has opened a NEW Y Site at the current Huntley Middle School location on at 1515 S. 4th Street in DeKalb! The Y has use of the pool on certain days and also the lobby area for exercise equipment. In all, the site features treadmills, ellipticals and bikes, along with a dumbbell and stretching area and 3 50" TV's.
We have some extended hours on weekends at the new Barb City site for the pool and wellness center while the main site hosts swim meets and our annual Indoor Triathlon.
YMCA 7th ANNUAL INDOOR TRIATHLON (new biathlon option)
Sunday, February 19th from 8 a.m. - 12 noon. Open to ages 9 and up

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a FREE program for cancer survivors that includes physical activity and group support. Our first program group began in early November, and we are currently taking names on our Interest List for the next program which will begin in February.

Did you know that in 2010, our YMCA PROVIDED 2,200 SCHOLARSHIPS to local individuals for memberships, sports, swim team, swim lessons, afterschool, summer day camp and wellness programs? 70% of the scholarships WENT TO CHILDREN & FAMILIES. SUMMER HOURS (June 1 - August 30): Monday - Friday: 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday hours remain the same year round.
Saturday: 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
